Keystone Canyon Waterfalls

A place of spectacular waterfalls, magnificent geology and fascinating history. We will disembark to view and take pictures of the best-known falls, Horsetail Falls and Bridal Veil Falls.

Thompson Pass

Thompson Pass is a 2,600 foot-high (855 meter-high) gap in the Chugach Mountains northeast of Valdez, Alaska. It is the snowiest place in Alaska, recording 500 inches (1,300 cm) of snow per year on average. We will take some time to appreciate the beauty of it during the summer and fall months. Don’t be surprised to see some lingering snow!

Worthington Glacier

Worthington Glacier State Recreation Site. With short, easy trails to view Worthington Glacier up close, we will take our time for a bit of exploring. Facilities include ADA trails and toilets.

The largest single-species salmon hatchery in North America, incubating up to 270 million pink salmon and 2 million Coho salmon each year. And every year, adults return in vast numbers—some 16 million pinks and 100,000 Cohos. Take the self-guided walking tour, view the fish ladder, read the interpretive signs, and stand on the overhang overlooking the creek.

Solomon Gulch Fish Hatchery

(July - September)

Old Town Valdez

(May and June)

About four miles outside of present-day Valdez is the original Valdez townsite, known as "Old Valdez" or "Old Town”. The city was relocated after the devastating 1964 earthquake, but the Old Town site has been preserved as a memorial and walking tour of Valdez's history.

“This land cruise was everything my group wanted when we visited Valdez! We saw the surrounding area at a great price, with a fun guide and it fit in our schedule!”

— Lisa Hebert, Cruise Passenger
